About Me
I come from a big, creative family of ten siblings, and art has always been part of our everyday life. Between painting, crocheting, sewing, beading, and music, someone is always creating something beautiful. My grandmother was an oil painting instructor who taught all of us how to draw and paint when we were little. Because of her, making art feels like second nature and is simply in my blood.
Once a month, my five sisters and I hold a craft day where one of us picks a new art project for everyone to try. That’s how I discovered alcohol ink art. I had no idea what to expect, but the first time I dropped color onto a tile and watched it flow and blend on its own, I was hooked. I immediately stocked up on vibrant inks, brushes, and tiles so I could keep experimenting at home.
What I love most about alcohol ink painting is how unpredictable it is. The colors move freely, creating organic shapes and patterns that remind me of clouds forming in the sky. Each piece turns out completely unique, full of movement, emotion, and color. It’s relaxing, expressive, and endlessly inspiring.
Through Brighton CraftWorks, I get to share that same joy with others. Every hand-painted alcohol ink tile I make is one of a kind, perfect as a decorative art piece, a meaningful gift, or simply a pop of color to brighten up your space.
